It's been way way way way way too long and I'm here to tell you what I've been up to- hopefully you won't be too mad.
I've been taking the most amazing, empowering, eye- opening trips and I'm finally back to a place with stable internet (Baltimore, MD).
In May, I went to Reykjavik, Iceland.
I know- I couldn't pronounce it either. But when you pay $199 each way, you learn quickly, (Shout out to WOW Airlines by the way!). Iceland was an on the whim trip and I'm so glad that my dearest friend, Kyla, asked me to be her travel buddy. This place had nothing but sexual acceptance. Boobs. Breastfeeding acceptance. AND CONDOMS AT THE REGISTER!
DID I MENTION, THEY GOT LADIES ON THEIR MONEY!
I came back home, got packed up and left for a month long work trip to Africa. And it was all about sexual health! Which I'll tell you more about in my next blog. I learned so much about access to women's health care services, innovative outreach and education strategies and I'm forever grateful to the organizations that hosted me.
These posters were found in Nigeria and it was amazing to see a commitment to health!
Condom dispenser in Kenya, IN THE BATHROOM!????????
This had nothing to do with sexual health. I was just excited about being on a safari
Me and Homegirl on the left were FEELING. IT.
